The Challenge the FCAT CD is divided
into two sections: LEARN-IT and TEST-IT. The
LEARN-IT
section contains brief passages of scientific information
you need to understand the world around you. The TEST-IT section is designed to let you know what
you understand, and what you need to learn more about.
CD-ROM INCLUDES:
DIAGNOSTICS
Students complete a Diagnostic Test to target concepts
that require remediation.
Diagnostic software provides automated scoring with
immediate feedback for the student.
Eliminates teacher scoring.
INTERACTIVITY
Encourages students to make decisions on their own.
Gives students control of their learning.
Reinforces students' knowledge of the computer.
ANIMATIONS
Difficult concepts are simplified through animation.
Allows students to compare and contrast closely related
terms, such as speed and velocity.
Gives students a clear view of natural processes over
time.
SAMPLE QUESTIONS
Uses the various formats that students will see on the
FCAT test.
