About the Authors




bullet Angela Slagle, Fourth & Fifth Grade Workbooks
   Angela Slagle is the principal at Britton's Neck Elementary and a National Board Certified Teacher.  She has a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Coastal Carolina University and a Masters in Education Leadership and Supervision from the University of South Carolina.

   She taught Kindergarten at North Myrtle Beach Primary and was a Curriculum Specialist there for three years.  She then moved on to teach Social Studies and was a Literacy Coach at North Myrtle Beach Elementary before becoming the Principal at Britton's Neck Elementary.

 

bullet Grace Florence, Third Grade Workbook
   Grace Florence is a 1985 graduate of the University of Louisville and earned her Masters in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina in 1989.

   She taught in South Carolina for 14 years in Spartanburg School District 5 and has recently moved back to Louisville, Kentucky where she presently teaches at Robert Frost Middle School.

bullet Emily Manigault, Sixth, Seventh, & Eighth Grade
Workbooks

   Emily Manigault is Lead Teacher of Emerging Technology at Blythewood High School.  She is National Board Certified and a 1995 History graduate of the University of South Carolina.  She received her Masters in 2002, also from USC in Secondary Administration.

   She taught History at Wilkerson High School and then moved to Ridge View High School for eight years.  She then moved to Blythewood Middle School for one year before becoming Lead Teacher of Emerging Technology at Blythewood High School in the fall of 2005.
